Baby Boy Update: 29 weeks

How big is baby:  29 weeks | the size of a butternut squash ~ 2.5 pounds

Verse that I am clinging to: “For we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him and have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
How I’m feeling: large and hungry.
Symptoms: A growing belly and appetite to match! Heartburn of course (at times radiating out of my eyeballs and Zantac/Tums does nothing!) and a recent eczema flare up on my poor little face. I think it is the result of a large canned good purchase this weekend and lots of touching of nickel things.
Diet/Cravings/Aversions:  Dr. Pepper, Cheerwine or Coke.
Weight gain/loss:  Haven’t weighed in since last week, probably a lot.
Sleep: I love to sleep. Could not get my lazy bum out of bed this morning. Sleep is pretty good, I get up anywhere from one time to ten times in a given night. Nap when I can.
Exercise: None to speak of. Every week I feel guilty about this…
Movement: Lots sometimes and none other times. I can feel him turning around and rolling around, sometimes I still feel fluttery feels, today he kicked me in my side where I am ticklish on the outside and it felt like I was being tickled on the inside. A funny feeling. I love feeling him move around, letting me know that he is in there. Today he was rolling all around and I am pretty sure I could feel his whole back top to bottom. He is a long little booger.
Best moment of the week: My friends from college and Sarah threw me a shower this past weekend and it was magical. There is nothing sweeter than having friends like these women. It was so perfect down to to every last detail. I spent the next 48 hours crying every time I thought about how much God has blessed me with these wonderful friends.
What I’m loving: We’ve officially announced that our little guy will be called Lincoln, which is fun. I love it when people ask me, “How’s Lincoln today?” We’ve started unpacking things into his room and sorting clothes and getting a game plan for where things will go on the walls. I finished one curtain panel and will hopefully finish the other this week (my goodness I hate to sew, but I love Marshall and Lincoln so I am making these curtains) and my favorite place to sit these days is in the red chair in his room. It is super comfy and I like to think that Lincoln will get used to the bouncing sensation so when he’s outside the womb it will comfort him. I may or may not have also been listening to the sound machine and watching the projection on the ceiling… I can’t explain it, it is just so relaxing in here. My favorite place to sit by far (also happens to be where I am sitting right now).
What I’m looking forward to: Going to the State Fair tomorrow with my friends! I am going to be good and eat a healthy breakfast and lunch so I don’t feel bad about deep fried everything for dinner. It’s gonna be awesome.
