How big is baby: 22 weeks | the size of a spaghetti squash
Verse that I am clinging to: “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might.” Ecclesiastes 9:10a
How I’m feeling: good overall!
Symptoms: eczema & heartburn, all day every day! I had a bout of Braxton Hicks contractions the other day. It was a terrifying and humbling experience. The good news is, having a sister nurse means you are but a text message away from medical advice. A bottle of water and some sitting down cleared it right up. I am trying to stay off my feet and drink a ton of water all day.
Diet/Cravings/Aversions: nothing really to note; feel too busy to have cravings!
Weight gain/loss: I don’t weigh myself. I’m judging by the fact that the yoga pants pictured above were super tight, I’m still north of 140.
Sleep: I love sleep! I love sleep. I love. SLEEP. I chose sleep over working late a few nights and it was a great decision.
Exercise: None. At all. Need to do something!
Movement: I feel him all the time! He really loves it when I eat. I think he stretches out a lot because sometimes I feel what feels like kicks on both sides of my belly at the same time. Makes me wonder if we’ll need to swaddle him or if he’s a stretcher in his sleep.
Best moment of the week: Eating was good this week. Wednesday we had dinner with our dear friends Sarah & Kevin (I babysat their kids starting my freshman year of college up until I got pregnant!) and they cooked shrimp & grits but with cauliflour, SO YUM! We had Taco Thursday with our small group, pot luck style. It was so much fun. Great food & great company. Friday was the best, we stayed IN and watched a movie and made cheese fondue in our fondue pot. Love quality time with my man.
What I’m loving: Looking and feeling a little more pregnant. There are annoying things at time (itchiness still plagues me and bending over gets more difficult), but the bigger baby gets the more excited I am for what is to come. It’s a constant reminder in my belly that God is good, has a plan for us and that we are going to be parents!
What I’m looking forward to: Track out. Track out. Track out. That is all.
