How big is baby: 19 weeks | the size of a zucchini (7 inches long, weight is 10oz)
Verse that I am clinging to:
Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out;
you formed me in my mother’s womb.
I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking!
Body and soul, I am marvelously made!
I worship in adoration—what a creation!
You know me inside and out,
you know every bone in my body;
You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,
how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth;
all the stages of my life were spread out before you,
The days of my life all prepared
before I’d even lived one day.
Psalm 139:13-16 The Message
How I’m feeling: still recovering from the cold I had with some coughing and stuffiness, feeling better overall just tired!
Symptoms: face eczema, heartburn, potty-bound all the time.
Diet/Cravings/Aversions: no real cravings, although I’ve been eating too many sweet carb things, need more fresh in my life.
Weight gain/loss: No idea, didn’t weigh in at the doctor. I am OK not knowing.
Sleep: Work has kept me up too late so I’ve been pooped. Slept until 9am this morning, much needed.
Exercise: None, breathing is still hard with too much activity.
Movement: So much movement all the time (especially when I am eating!) We got to see it in action on Thursday, definitely a wiggle worm.
Best moment of the week: We found on on Thursday that our sweet thing is a baby boy! He was not shy about showing it off too. We were in there for a few minutes and got to see him moving around and even got to see his sweet face. The ultrasound lady was super kind and turned on the 3d for us and printed out a lot of pictures of him. I was laying on the table with my arms behind my head and he was laying the exact same way! I’ve slept like that since I was a baby, such a sweet moment. The baby name negotiations have begun and we *think* we have decided for sure, but we have time and will surely reveal once we are sure. Baby boy is totally healthy, we got to see his brain, heart, kidneys, stomach, femurs, arm bones, fingers and toes (and his special boy parts… oh man). Feeling so grateful for a healthy baby so far and can’t wait to snuggle him outside of the womb in just 20 weeks or so!
What I’m loving: Getting lots of fun baby boy ideas for his room and we got to celebrate Thursday night with our small group friends. People at work are so cute and excited. Knowing we are having a boy just has me over the moon. Everyone we know has boys and they seem like so much fun!
What I’m looking forward to: we are opening our baby registry today, so I am getting excited about registering and nesting and all those fun things. I’ve gotten lots of ideas recently about his room and I just can’t wait for Marshall to get the floor and closet done over track out so we can start putting furniture in there! Also looking forward to all the work things that come to a close this week… summer session, grading, Spanish 3 in Moodle and that I get a little bit of a break before fall semester starts the end of August. I did get another section, which is exciting since I’ll be taking spring semester off. Won’t hurt to have a little bit more money in the bank 🙂
