Life as an alum is sweet. Very, very bittersweet (I cry whenever I hear my pals making plans of moving out), but I really am enjoying no more school. For now. I’m housesitting and taking care of some sweet puppies, writing thank you notes, and scheduling job interviews. Exactly what I was hoping May would be. June will be even better. Just lots of naps and hopefully some apartment hunting wherever I end up getting a job after all these May interviews. While it’s hard to believe the Meredith chapter is closing (I’ll be back on campus some this summer, so not quite closed yet), I am excited for the next chapter. And I’ve already gotten the “alum-connection” for a few job leads. Pretty exciting stuff. I’m beginning to enjoy that even though you’re only a Meredith student for four short years you get to be an alum for forever. Which is a lot longer than four years. 🙂
