I graduated from Meredith today. Well, technically yesterday, but I haven’t slept yet, so today. So, earlier today I joined the alum club. There just really aren’t any words to describe the feeling of how completely sad this is. Meredith College has seriously been the greatest four years of my life. The friends I’ve made here, the adventures we’ve had, the experience overall has just been irreplaceable. It really is inexplainable and you just can’t know how wonderful this place is unless you experience it. So cliche, and I totally hate it, but it’s totally true.
The weather was beautiful for this weekend. I am so thankful for such a great weekend to share with my family and friends! We made it through, indeed. The past four years seem like pie to how hard it was to get through today without ugly crying everywhere. I was really fine until one of my best friends, and freshman roommate got up to speak on behalf of the undergraduates at graduation. She talked about remembering all our fun times here at MC and it was like God pressed play in my brain and every single fun time I ever had here went playing through my head. I am so thankful for this time, and I just really hope that everyone is right when they say the best times lie ahead! If this was so fun, I can’t imagine how fun everything else will be 🙂
And yes, I did carry my camera to graduation. I really wanted to take a picture with Big Mo as she handed me my diploma but I chickened out. Totally regretting that right now. Here are some of my favorites from the weekend, most of them courtesy of my wonderful sister and brother-in-law. We should really look into a family photography business. We’d make bank.
This makes me laugh. Cassidy got me climbing over the railing of Johnson Hall. Lovely.
Freshman roomie, Meghan 🙂
Dr. Hartford, the college President, came out and we invited her in for a picture. We said she didn’t have to get her feet in, but she insisted. Gotta love Big Mo.
Some of the greatest girls in the world.
Welcome to the club, 2010!
