My suitemate and I are in the process of preparing for our Spanish proficiency exam and I have major issues with past subjunctive. In an attempt to practice this we have a “phrase of the day”… so hopefully this practice + spending almost two months in Costa Rica will lead to mastery. I know there’s hope…at one point I never thought I would use preterite and imperfect correctly but now it’s like second nature.
(umm…lately I’ve had some trouble remembering to unlock the door and have been locking out my poor suitemates. The post-it worked for about 2 weeks but now I’m conditioned to see it and I keep forgetting. I think it’s time to move it…)
Thursday night I hosted a prospect student from New Mexico (she’s the source of salsa..amazing). I also had a wine glass social that night on my hall so we’d have something to do and it was a blast. I had about a dozen girls there and it was a great time. We watched Grey’s (poor Izzie) and talked…such a great stress reliever. Next week I’m planning an Un-Birthday Social and then next month I’m hoping to paint flower pots for some “May Flowers”… yay crafts.
Finally washed out the paintbrushes from the social… I have a thing for colors.
Spring is approaching quickly…I love this time of year. However, considering that I leave for Costa Rica the day after 2009’s graduation might make this next month a little stressful.
Exciting, but full of things to do. Ready….go.
