February is coming to an end. Costa Rica things are semi-finalized (73 days!), I’m just waiting to hear back about my loans. Mrs. Debellis and a few other students and I met with Dr. Winterhoff in Gen-Ed about pursuing Core 400 while abroad. This is sweet. Right now it’s looking to be some sort of research project in regards to public parks and reserves and the kind of people that visit them in CR and the kind that visit them here. Sounds kinda dull at first, but hopefully it’ll be interesting… it starts in Costa Rica won’t be done until April 2010. That’s a long time to research parks. Potential boredom aside, I’m thrilled. This summer is going to be an exciting and challenging one and I’m ready. So very ready for something different. This is how I was feeling before I decided to go to Spain– just ready for some new scenery. I think 7 weeks will be just enough time to enjoy it before I’m ready for the old scenery again.

And the rest of summer? FuHsing will start soon after I return from Costa Rica (I mean like, 4 days or something) and then after that there will be another 4 days and then I’ll move in and begin Student Staff training in the apartments. I kind of regret I won’t have time for a real “vacation” this summer but being busy is always fun. FuHsing was seriously a life changing experience last summer and I expect nothing less the second time around.

On a less serious note, I splurged for another Orla Kiely thing:
A shoe organizer.
I’ve been fantasizing about getting rid of these two canvas drawers that housed my shoes in the floor of my closet and Orla made this fantasy come true for about $14. And honestly, I used a giftcard so it might not count as a splurge. Just a gift. 🙂

And now back to my insomina. It’s about a hundred degrees in here and I had WAY too much to eat at Olive Garden tonight… so I’m awake at 3am blogging. This is honestly the first time I’ve seen 3am in quite some time….this teacher preparation stuff has got me going to bed by 10 or 11 most nights. Which, I love.

Exciting Spring Break ahead: 4 days in Washington D.C. and 4 days in Clearwater, FL with Kerianne visiting my sister. Excited doesn’t even begin to describe it.
